Sow seeds April through to July, at 4 weekly intervals. Sow seeds thinly, 1cm (½in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart.
Thin seedlings when large enough to handle to 10-15cm (4-6in) apart.
For best results turnips should be grown quickly, help to achieve this by watering well at all stages. Harvest when still medium size for the best flavour. Prefers a well drained, moist, fertile soil. Harvest May to September.
