Self-sufficient in Spring

Spring started warm and dry and we thought ths would have a big impact on our plans to be self-sufficient. It did have an impact but not as we expected. The weather turned 180 degrees and became wet and cold. This affected in particular our bees. Nevertheless we were able to pick an early crop of rhubarb as well as forage for wild foods such as nettles and wild garlic. Meanwhile, we had to learn to treat sick hens.
