In this recipe I use some of the sausage meat from our Tamworth pig to make burgers.

Great video. It really looks tasty. I think that i will try it. I love making my own hambergers. I do it a little different but whats important is that it taste good, thats all that counts. keep up the great work.
Your burgers look great and I bet they taste good too. I read somewhere they ate horsemeat during WW2. I doubt that much meat (whatever type it was,) went to waste during the war years.
about the issue with horse meat, what’s the problem? what are you going to do with the horses? bury them? and waste all that meat? and people are starving in africa and throughout the world and for some reason someone thinks it’s right to deny people food because they think the animals is protected for some reason. I know the biggest issue is the lie, not the actual meat, but seriously, open your mind a bit and realize that by leaving these horses to rot in the ground is a horrible waste.
it’s not much different than beef, without being told, you wouldn’t notice.
he’s looking for self sufficiency to become more independent, the Amish do it for religious reasons since modern science violates the strict bible and thus it’s evil, so they don’t use it. he’s following the WW2 rationing independence that was going on in Britain, where people tried to sustain themselves so more could go to the war effort and that they required less from outside britain due to the german blockade of the english channel.
Looks tasty
So…. hes some sort of modern amish?
Have you ever had horse meat?
me and the missus use pork all the time for burgers. using spices like turmeric and garam masala makes a nice kebab style flavour. and instead of rolls we wrap them in tortillas and eggwash them before sealing them in a pan. the bread rolls i used to make for them came out so big they stuffed you before you were even through the first one
They do look good!
