Outstanding flavour and held in high regard by French chefs. Often used as a companion plant as it is thought to repel Carrot Fly. A good source of Vitamin C and potassium.
Sow where they are to grow in April/May in drills 12mm (½in) deep, 30cm (12in) apart. Keep well watered and weed free.
Harvest from October onwards, taking care NOT to snap the roots as you lift them. Leave in the ground until required or lift and store in sand. Days to maturity: 85.
